Bad Month Coming to a Close

This month has sucked royally, but things are looking up.
I just took 2 major commissions, shipped another out yesterday and have a small one coming tomorrow. Money is looking good off these orders and for once I am running ahead of schedule. It is a miracle for me...let me tell ya.
AND I am getting another coati. The girl I have now is overly bonded to me so we hope by getting her a buddy, it will help ease the anxiety of when she can not see me or when I go on trips, which can sometimes be frequently. This is also helping me prepare her for a new monkey in the house. She did not do well at all with the last one and tried to eat him.
Other than that...not much going on here. Working on orders, playing with the critters. Oh yeah...the skunks are all being cranky cause it is that time of the year in the wild and their hormones are kickin'. I am ready to have my sweet babies back.....

A coati is short for coatimundi, an animal related to the racoon. They live in Central and South America, as well as Arizona and parts of Texas. Yea, a real live monkey. I had a marmoset baby but he was just too tiny and once he hit puberty, he triggered my coati's prey drive and it was ON. He almost was eaten twice, so I adopted him to a lady who lives nearby who had lost her male and was sad. She fell in love with my little guy and now he rides around the house on her shoulder and has made her life whole again. The new monkey will be a capuchin, which is almost the size of my coati full grown. So it will be a lot safer of a match. I stay at home while my man goes off and works. Isn't that how it works? *dodges bullets* Just joking...He actually prefers me home...odd, eh? I am a seamstress and do commissions from home. Anything from costumes, to stuff for pets. My main money maker is making hammocks for exotics, primarily primates. |

I just looked this coati up online, pretty cute lil creature!! You must have a little zoo at your house, skunks, coatis & monkeys. Oh my! My grandma used to have a moneky but the damn thing jerked off all the time and I mean ALL the time! So needless to say we got rid of it! Seamstress huh, I wish I knew how to sew, I just don't have the patience! |

Why do you think I am getting a female monkey? Not all types will masturbate, but some more than others. Squirrel monkeys are notorious for it. All others will do it sometimes as a dominance thing or to try to "flirt" with the opposite sex. No thanks...I would rather have my female purse her lips at guys in the house than have a boy who is gonna pull it out to try to impress the girls...LOL. |

The one my grandmother had was a squirrel monkey, usually only masturbated when a girl was having her period, but growing up in a house with 9 girls that was pretty much all the time! My poor dad! |
